Johnsons Lab Logistics – first class care for Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust

The Situation

In July 2011, a new £90 million state-of-the-art development opened at Salford Royal Hospital as part of Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust’s £200 million redevelopment programme.

The move was an extremely sensitive project due to the relocation of ‘live wards.’
Johnsons was appointed to facilitate the move.

The Solution

Our dedicated project management service encompassed:

  • Full project move management;
  • Employing our DGSA (Dangerous Goods & Safety Advisor) to support and provide the legally required transportation documentation;
  • Supplying experienced/trained/uniformed JLL relocation team members;
  • Supplying ADR-compliant vehicles and certified ADR drivers as required;
  • Supplying crates, security seals, labels etc;
  • Suppling qualified/skilled fitters to undertake the dismantling/reassembling of equipment;
  • Installing building protection to all main walkways/doorways/lifts as required.
The Outcome

The expertise of our Move Management team, working in partnership with the hospital staff ensured our services were delivered with minimal impact on the hospital staff, activities, and patients.
